Hauntingly Beautiful Halloween Weddings

The spookiest day of the year is finally upon us. This evening, children, and maybe even some adults, will don their most innovative, scary, or funny costumes and run about their neighborhoods asking for all kinds of treats. The festive and whimsical atmosphere that Halloween helps to create makes it one of the best holidays on which to host an event. Have you ever considered having a late October wedding with Halloween inspired décor? If so, Creative Ambiance Events has some ideas on how to create dark, romantic surroundings for your big day that are so enchanting, it`s scary!

Let`s begin with the most important part of the whole wedding- the ceremony. You could go with more of a rustic, harvest look with bright, orange pumpkins and autumn leaves lining the aisle, or create more of a gothic feel by having an arbor or a chuppah draped with black colored fabric and accented with branches and twinkling lights. After your hauntingly beautiful ceremony concludes, guests can make their way to the cocktail hour where they will sign a faux, custom designed pumpkin that acts as a guestbook, and admire floating candles in tall, clear cylinder vases with dark branches floating at the bottom. High tabletops with amber up lighting underneath and small, black lanterns with gold candle votives will give guests a preview as to what magic awaits them inside the reception space. Once they make their way into the reception area, guests will sit at tables decorated with black linens and candelabras. Flowers in shades of deep reds and purples will adorn the tables to add a touch of romance. If you really want to achieve an eerie, haunted feeling, drape Spanish moss on chandeliers or candelabras. As your reception goes into the wee hours of the morning, guests will soon find themselves doing some trick-or-treating at a fantastical candy station. Looking for a more rustic wedding favor? Consider offering guests caramel apples as a wedding favor with a custom-made tag that reads, “Apple-ly Married” or “And they lived apple-ly ever after”.
