Natural Sophistication at Castle Hill Inn

During this past wedding season, Creative Ambiance Events had the pleasure of designing the flowers and décor for the wedding of Jeanette and Joshua. The couple, planned to have a traditional Jewish ceremony at Castle Hill Inn in Newport, RI, found out about Creative Ambiance Events by seeing that we offer chuppahs. Prior to their special day, Jeanette and Joshua entrusted Creative Ambiance`s head designer, LisaMarie Dwyer, with creating a “natural, sophisticated” feel with the flowers and décor. The bride-to-be requested to have flowers in shades of ivory, peach and blush and wanted to incorporate accents of tiffany blue since the engagement ring that was given to her by Joshua was from Tiffany & Co.

On a warm, sunny day at Castle Hill Inn, Jeanette and Joshua`s guests began to take their seats at the outdoor ceremony space overlooking the harbor. As the ceremony began, the bridesmaids made their way down the aisle wearing blush colored dresses, and carrying bouquets made up of pink hydrangeas, dusty miller greenery, and peach colored Campanella cabbage roses and finished with ivory ribbon. The men in the wedding party wore tan suits and donned a single, peach-colored rose boutonniere wrapped in ivory ribbon. The groom escorted his father and his mother, who carried a tussie mussie made up of peach Campanella cabbage roses and dusty miller greenery and wrapped in a tiffany blue ribbon, down the rose petal-lined aisle. Each of the first six chairs that lined the aisle was accented with a birch cone that contained a single ivory rose, one peach Campanella cabbage rose, and dusty miller greenery. Draped across the last row of chairs on either side of the aisle were stunning greenery garlands. The aisle was lined on either side with peach colored rose petals. Jeanette walked down the aisle in an elegant A-line style gown and carried a beautiful bouquet composed of ivory and blush roses with peach Campanella cabbage roses and dusty miller greenery accented throughout. The bride stood beside her groom under a stunning, custom-made birch chuppah that was draped with white, sheer fabric. On either side of the front of the chuppah was a basket filled with lush greenery and large, ivory roses. These same ivory roses were added into the existing arbor that stands in the ceremony space at Castle Hill Inn.

After their traditional Jewish ceremony concluded, guests made their way into the cocktail hour where they sat at both high and low top tables that were adorned with one simple, yet elegant, rose bowl globe that contained one, large floating Campanella rose head. In the reception area, the guests were greeted by a long, wooden table that showcased two white trays filled with sand that displayed the custom made place cards that were each decorated with a single starfish, and a tall floral arrangement made up of pink hydrangeas, eucalyptus leaves, dusty miller greenery, ivy, blush roses, ivory garden roses, peach Campanella roses, and pink astilbe. At each table was a low floral arrangement that really captured the “full, natural” look that the couple had been looking for, with birch boxes filled with peach Campanella cabbage roses, ivory garden roses, blush roses, pink miniature spray roses, dusty miller greenery, pink astilbe, eucalyptus leaves, and pink seeded eucalyptus. Around the birch boxes were placed three clear vases that each contained a floating ivory colored rose head. Jeanette and Joshua`s wedding turned out to be one of our most beautiful! It was an absolute joy being able to create such stunning pieces for such a special couple, and Team CAE could not be happier that they chose us to create the beautiful floral arrangements for their big day!
